Mysteries of the Ancients

Three millennia ago the Goddess Athena placed the wisdom of the gods into a magic orb. Knowing that the orb would be sot by mankind she secretly hid the Orb of Wisdom deep within an underground temple, and formed an army of guardians to protect the orb until the day it should be found by the chosen one. In the early days several would-be adventurers died trying to find and steel the orb. Whatever happened to those early adventurers was never known. All that is known is that they simply disappeared. As if they had never existed at all.

As time passed the story of the Orb of Wisdom was passed on from father to son, from the son to his sons, and was passed on to their sons, and so on. The story became a legend, a myth, a fairy tail, and eventually was forgotten. Though, some record of it remained until the present day.

Now, world renown archeologist, adventurer, and explorer, Dr. Angela Carter, has discovered a three thousand year old scroll that will lead her directly to the Orb of Wisdom. However, finding and retrieving the orb won’t be easy. She must work her way through several eerie underground levels filled with dangers and mystery. She must avoid various deadly traps including: deep windy chasms, towering walls of fire, boiling pits of lava, sharp metal spikes, and poison darts. She must fight or flee several creatures such as: armored centaurs, amazon warriors, and sword wielding skeletons. A long the way she will recover several useful items and treasures like: ammo packs, various weapons, healing potions, gold coins, precious jewels, ancient scrolls, and torches to help light her way.
