FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: What do I need to play your games on my PC?
A: The majority of the games on this site will run fine on a modern PC running Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7. In addition, you may need some additional software components such as the Microsoft Visual Basic 6 runtime components, the Microsoft Visual C++ runtime components, or the Microsoft .NET Framework depending on the specific product in question. It also never hurts to own one or more commercial third-party SAPI 5 compatible voices which sound better than the voices that ship with your computer by default.
Q: Do you have any games for Mac OS or Linux?
A: Not at this time, but we may begin porting some of our games to Linux and Mac OS sometime in the future.
Q: Do you have any games for Apple's iOS devices like iPads, iPhones, and iPods?
A: No we don't. Unfortunately, we do not have the proper hardware or software to develop games for iOS devices at this time.
Q: Where might I find better SAPI 5 voices for my games?
A: While there are not many high quality free SAPI compatible voices there are a number of commercial voices that we have found extremely good for general gaming. Visit Nextup for a catalog of Sapi voices produced by industry leaders such as AT&T, Cepstral, Acapela, and other text to speech developers.
Q: Whenever I try to send an e-mail to the USA Games sales or support addresses I get a message back asking me to confirm/register my email?
A: This is a security feature of the spam filtering software we use. In order to make sure that you are a legitimate customer and not a spam robot we ask that you confirm and register your e-mail with our spam filtering software so that it will recognize you as a legitimate customer in the future. This way we can easily filter out unnecessary spam, and respond to legitimate e-mail as soon as possible.
