Q:What do I need to run one of your games?
A: Most of the games on this web site will run perfectly fine on a standard PC running Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7. Some games may require additional components to be installed such as the Visual Basic 6 runtime components for Windows Vista and Windows 7, and/or additional SAPI 5 compatible voices.
Q: Will any of your games run on Mac OS?
A: None of the games we produce or host here directly support Mac OS at this time, but can be played on a Mac if it is virtualized through VMWare, Fusion, Boot Camp, or similar third-party software.
Q: Do you ever plan to support Mac OS or Linux?
A: While we are in favor of supporting non-Windows platforms such as Mac OS or Linux the time and expense of doing so makes it unlikely for the time being.
Q: Why are there no graphics in any of your games?
A: Since all of our games are designed specifically for blind and low vision gamers we use a high quality audio environment combined with speech to provide maximum accessibility for a visually impaired game player. As a result we are able to save considerable time and expense in game development by not providing a graphical user interface that wouldn’t be accessible for several of our customers anyway.
Q: Can I contact you by phone?
A: At this time all of our customer service is handled via e-mail or via the USA Games official mailing list. In the event we must handle something via phone we will request your phone number and call you back if necessary.
Q: I e-mailed USA Games only to get a message back asking me to register my e-mail address with USA Games. What is this?
A: Our e-mail accounts are monitored using a commercial grade spam filtering software that makes sure that every e-mail we receive is sent by a legitimate USA Games customer rather than from an automated spammer. For that reason the first time you contact the USA Games sales or support departments our spam software will request that you register your e-mail address with us simply by replying to the e-mail request sent to you from our mail server.
Q: Do you accept Paypal?
A: Yes, we do. Our shopping cart uses Paypal by default and can accept orders from most countries in the world where Paypal is accepted.
